I was trying to avoid updating to 3.55 but I guess there isn't much of a reason for me not to do it now that there is real progress being made on the piracy front (I'm as much of a pirate as I am a dev). Then I'll go back and do the same with my other PS3 stuff. I'll probably have a signed copy of That Other Space Shooter posted tomorrow.

I just want to make a few slight improvements and then I'll install Geohot's 3.55 CFW and go grab all the stuff I need to sign for it. I guess Geohots CFW patched more then I had realized. Kakaroto's CFW have the same install package files option re enabled as does one of the other CFW (the name of which escapes me at the moment) though they only work with legit demos. I don't know all the system bamboozling thats going on to get them to play but apparently they work. but the way around it is the patch or rename the eboots into the hddboots, its fooling the system into thinking they are hdd psn games, i think they even show up in the xmb with all the other psn games after doing so. The eboot stuff i think was killed by sony when they took out a couple syscalls that were needed to load them. Well, these are all signed to work for geohots patched 3.55 using his signing software.Īnd without that "*install package files" we wouldn't have a path to get them under game options. If the packages are indistinguishable for legitimate retail PKGs such as PSN demos then shouldn't they be installable with any of the available CFWs? Similarly shouldn't the now signed EBOOT.bin software run on anything once installed?

Please reply back with more signed homebrew and I will update list hereįorgive my ignorance but what makes these unique to Geohot's CFW? I know they don't work with Kakaroto's CFW but I'm a bit uncertain why that is. If you don’t know what one or more of the homebrew is type it in the search box above, and you will get more information on it.

Please reply to this thread with other converted PKGs and I (or a staff member) will add them here. It isn’t perfect: Super Mario world 2 still lags at certain places, but Donkey Kong Country has zero lag (unlike rev 26).With all current homebrew being converted to signed ones here is a list of the current converted PKGs. User Robin alerted me that the emulator above has issues with slowdown with some games, about this problem he wrote: That’s all. You can press the Home button while in game to bring the menu up, it will allow you to switch games, save state, and change emulation settings: Select the Game you want to play with the D-Pad and pres O to launch it The License terms will appear, scroll down with the D-pad down arrow, and press X or O to agree.
